Q: What is CMD?
A: CMD is a self-administered system that can be used by individuals to
develop personal health and fitness profiles by monitoring their general
state of health on a regular basis. Through this self-awareness they are
then able to take control of their own health.
Q: Why is it important to have regular CMD wellness checks?
A: CMD's objective is to promote an optimum quality of life and longevity.
It is essentially about understanding and managing the balances of
life-energy forces and stress factors within the human body. Regular
wellness checks are important because they can reveal trends or changes in
the body's condition.
Q: Can CMD detect cancer?
A: No. Cancer once developed can not be detected by CMD. The activity of
the anaerobic cells (plant cells) is beyond the CMD spectrum. However,
before cancer develops, CMD can reveal an energy deficiency in the affected
organ. If treated at this very earliest stage, sometimes years before
cancer develops, the onset of the disease can be prevented.
Q: Will CMD replace consulting your doctor?
A: No, but with CMD your online doctor is only a click away for
intelligent, interactive consultation via the Internet.
Q: How was CMD developed?
A: CMD is a system that has evolved from the Russian space program. It was
used by cosmonauts to monitor their health during space missions. It is now
available to members of the general public as well as to the medical
profession.
Q: Several family members now have colds. Can CMD help?
A: Comparing the energy levels of certain organ systems before and after
the onset of a cold will show you which underlying weakness the infection
is coupled with. Retesting of the points while simply holding a remedy,
i.e., echinacea or golden seal, will result in easily detectable changes in
the energy of the meridian systems. Surprising as it may seem, it is not
even necessary to ingest the medicine. Merely holding a small quantity in
the hand will cause a change in the readings. But, if holding the remedy
optimizes the energy level, then taking the remedy promises good results.
Q: My chiropractor has recommended a vitamin program for me. After initial Improvement it seems that now there is stagnation and I don't know if I'm taking something that I don't need, or if I'm missing something that I do need. How can CMD help?
A: Testing for the necessity or effectiveness of vitamins, minerals,
herbal remedies, etc., is a strong point of CMD. The method used to find
out what's good for you is called "virtual therapy." Extensive research has
proven that just by holding a substance in your hand, your energy system
will give the same indication as if you had taken it. So, go through those
vitamins from your chiropractor's program one by one, holding a capsule in
your hand while you retest all the points. Improvement of the energy level
means "yes," your body needs that vitamin as a supplement. A decrease in
energy level means "no," this supplement is counterproductive. No change of
energy level means that your body can take it or leave it. (It's a smart
way of saving money!)
Q: My energy levels are improving, although I've just come down with a sore throat. What does that indicate?
A: The energy level in the meridians is a way of looking at the activity
of the body's regulatory system. Any immune reaction to an invading virus
or bacteria means an increased activity in your body's defense systems.
This increased activity is the reason for your "elevated" energy levels.
It's healthy and it means that your body has reserves.
Q: I suffer from allergies and my nutritionist recommended extensive (and expensive) food allergy testing. How can CMD help?
A: Testing yourself before and after a meal produces some dramatic
readings! If you thought you could put away that cheesecake and flush it
down with a double espresso without comment from your body, you're
mistaken, and the CMD retest after this snack will express your body's
reaction to these foods. A less complex reaction will appear after
consuming a SINGLE food, i.e., a glass of milk. If just this single food
brings down your energy reading, there is reasonable suspicion that the
food is not well tolerated by your body or may even cause an allergy.
Just holding the food while testing will also be sufficient to indicate
tolerance or intolerance to this food. If a particular food repeatedly
tests as intolerant, this points to a food allergy.
Q: How does physical activity affect my CMD readings?
A: There are several effects to take into account:
- Sweating or moistening the skin (e.g., taking a shower, or after
swimming) will result in decreased skin resistance. Since you are measuring
the combination of meridian resistance AND skin resistance, with each
single CMD measurement, reduced skin resistance will change ("improve")
your readings.
- Short and light physical activity (i.e., a walk or easy bike ride)
usually leads to a state of energy activation. So, regular, mild activities
will result in better CMD readings, and, as you know, in better health.
- Strenuous, long-term exercise will most probably result in a weakening
of energy. (Marathon runners don't have the best CMD readings.)
